This is a great spot to go to if you want authentic french food. The restaurant is huge in size and it feels like a maze, but I'm a good way. The waiters are welcoming and nice which is an exception for Parisians. I has the beef steak and it was cooked to perfection. Also started the meal with the raviolis, which I definitely recommend. Did not have dessert but they all looked delicious. An overall recommended experience. It is not very fancy, but do try to come decently dressed by the way.

I had a good experience at Brasserie L’Européen. The restaurant has a stylish, classic Parisian feel — bright, lively, and with a great atmosphere. The complimentary bread at the start was unfortunately a bit hard and didn’t feel fresh, which was surprising for a French restaurant — you’d expect the bread to shine here! That said, everything else made up for it. I ordered the rump steak, cooked rare and served with onions and a flavorful onion sauce. It was delicious — tender, nicely seasoned, and paired perfectly with crispy French fries. The dish was around €28. I also had a pint of Grimbergen Blonde for about €10, which was excellent and complemented the meal nicely. The service was friendly and efficient, and overall, the atmosphere was very pleasant. The restaurant is elegant yet relaxed. The only odd detail was that some of the chairs in our section had wheels — a quirky touch in such a classic setting! Overall, a great spot for a good meal in Paris, especially if you’re looking for a traditional brasserie with charm and energy.

Came to this place early on a Sunday morning, staff attentive and decent. They know English, can pay with credit card. Food got served in a reasonable time, but had my bread and butter to keep me happy. Its at the corner of the street easy to notice. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The breakfast portion of my omlette with cheese was quiet enough.

Nestled near the Gare de Lyon at 21 bis Boulevard Diderot in Paris, Brasserie L'Europeen stands as a lively testament to authentic French dining. This brasserie captures the classic Parisian spirit with its bright, elegant yet relaxed ambiance and an inviting atmosphere that keeps both locals and travelers returning time and again.

The charm of Brasserie L'Europeen lies in its vast, maze-like interior—spacious but cozy—with friendly waitstaff who break the usual Parisian stereotype, offering warm, engaging service in both French and English. Their attentiveness and readiness to recommend menu highlights elevate the entire dining experience.

Speaking of the menu, the offerings showcase true French culinary staples executed with skill and heart. The beef and rump steaks emerge as must-tries, cooked to perfection—whether rare with a rich onion sauce or seared to your liking—accompanied by crispy, well-seasoned French fries. The ravioli starter is equally delightful and sets the tone for a memorable meal. Meanwhile, the standout duck confit, huge fresh oysters, and decadent profiteroles faithfully deliver that classic brasserie indulgence.

While the complimentary bread occasionally fell short of expectations for such a French institution, the overall quality of dishes and drink selection more than makes up for it. For instance, the Grimbergen Blonde beer served here pairs excellently with the hearty flavors. The food arrives promptly, portions satisfy, and the outdoor seating provides a charming Parisian street-side view.
